David J Moriarty

Singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist David J Moriarty has been writing, recording, and performing music for over 30 years. The Long Island, NY native was also a California resident for over 17 years. While living in Venice, David started the hard rock trio EARTH AT NIGHT,  wrote music for several short films, a documentary and had songs featured in 3 feature films from various film makers. At the same time, David worked in film/visual effects for the groundbreaking Rhythm & Hues Studios. Throughout his career David has co-written, co-produced, and recorded several albums on his own and with different artists while playing countless shows around the East & West Coast, opening up for musical acts such as Dave Matthews Band, Sugar Ray, Derek Trucks, SR71, and the late David Crosby.  David's songs have been used in TV series such as The Real World NOLA, Road Rules, The Challenge, Keeping up with the Kardashians and The Real World/Road Rules Challenge competition on MTV, and several episodes of Married to Rock on VH1.  David also co-writes  and performs comedy music with actor, comedian & musician Ben Kacsandi. The two are known as  Ben and Dave's Mixtape David IS music. He eats, sleeps, and breathes music. David writes songs about love, heartache, life, loss, happiness, and the little things that the mean the most. He is quick with the hooks and melody, proficient with all things singing & harmony, and has a knack for helping artists bring their song ideas to life. Now in 2026, David is currently in the studio working on a new solo album with multi platinum producer Phil Jiminez (Wheatus, NY Lights, Beat Radio).
